Acquiring an API Key
Only our direct customers are authorized to request an API key from us. The reason for this is that we want our customers to have an overview of who has access to their data. They must also tell us what authorizations the key should have.
Service providers that the customer has commissioned and who wish to write to or read from our system must also submit the request via the customer.
In order to request an API key, we need the following information:
- Purpose of the API key (brief description of the use case)
- E-mail address for notifications
- Your company (for internal documentation)
- Required authorizations (you can also describe your use case to us, and we will determine which permissions are required)
- Which projects may be read or write?
- Which channels may be set or read?
- Which pools may be read or set? (optional)
You can find a detailed overview of the authorizations here: Permissions
As soon as the request has been checked internally, we create the user and the API key. The login data and the API key
are then passed on to our customer. The customer is then responsible for forwarding the key to the relevant departments.
